ABOUT VISIONARY VANGUARD GROUP

Over the years, the principals of Visionary Vanguard Group (Dr. Lauren Josephs & Dr. Stephan Brown) gained expertise in a variety of fields including mental health, juvenile justice, public and higher education, healthcare and small business operations.

Through research, observations and stakeholder conversations, they realized that that despite the field, common concerns existed about the inequity in outcomes for under resourced communities, and businesses started by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. While the verbiage used across fields was different, (e.g. disproportionate minority contact with the juvenile justice system, health disparities, underachieving students, racial wealth gap) the root causes are often tied to social determinants and systemic inequities. This awareness fueled a passion to address these multi-sectorial challenges. Visionary Vanguard Group, Inc. was born from a need to use a multidisciplinary approach in research, evaluation, education and training to address longstanding social problems. The aim is to improve quality, create culturally responsive organizations, and achieve equitable outcomes .
